The Airbnb years—and what followed
It began with a personal Airbnb stay. Today, booking and service sit closer to hotel standards: a dedicated team, 24-hour assistance, daily housekeeping on request, luggage storage and local advice—without losing the independent space that made the first stays matter.
The beginning
Nancy began hosting through Airbnb in 2014, when home sharing was still new in Chongqing. The first stays established the part of Nancy's Home that has not changed: a distinctive room, direct local advice and a host who stays close to the experience.
Airbnb Open · Paris
Nancy travelled to Paris for Airbnb Open, joining hosts from around the world to exchange ideas about hospitality, homes and the trust behind a good stay.
Airbnb recognition
Nancy was recognised as an Airbnb Superhost. The award marked consistent hosting, thoughtful communication and the guest experience that had grown around the homes.
The homestay, upgraded
Guests now book Nancy's Home through hotel platforms. We kept the independent rooms, local knowledge and non-standard spaces people value in Airbnb—and added a more dependable layer of hospitality around them.

For multi-night stays, guests may request room cleaning instead of being left entirely on their own.

What we kept from the beginning
From our first Airbnb guests, we have believed a good stay should be more than a standard set of things. Original work, wabi-sabi materials, tended plants and personal arrangements still keep each room close to human experience.
01 · Original work
Nancy's own paintings are placed inside the rooms rather than kept in a separate gallery. Each work becomes part of the furniture, light and everyday rhythm of the space.
02 · Wabi-sabi interiors
Warm timber, softly textured walls, curved openings and quiet shadows create a modern wabi-sabi language. The materials are chosen to feel calm and lived with, not glossy or uniform.
03 · Living plants
A member of our team comes from a gardening background. Branches, leaves and seasonal plants are maintained as living parts of the rooms and shared spaces, changing naturally through the year.
04 · Personal occasions
For a birthday, anniversary or other special stay, our team can prepare a room arrangement as a paid additional service when requested in advance. Details and pricing can be discussed before arrival and depend on the room and occasion.
